The First Fifty Years – The Aston Martin Owners Club 1935-1985
The Aston Martin Owners Club (AMOC) is a non-profit organization based in the United Kingdom, dedicated to promoting the enjoyment and ownership of Aston Martin cars. The club was founded in 1935 by a group of Aston Martin enthusiasts who wanted to create a community for like-minded individuals who shared their passion for the brand.
The AMOC is open to all Aston Martin owners and enthusiasts, regardless of the model or vintage of their cars. The club offers a wide range of services and benefits to its members, including social events, track days, technical advice, and access to exclusive Aston Martin-related content.
One of the main events organized by the AMOC is the annual Concours d’Elegance, which is a prestigious classic car show that attracts Aston Martin owners from all over the world. The event features a showcase of the finest and rarest Aston Martin cars, judged by experts in the industry.
The AMOC also has a competitive side, organizing various racing events for its members, including the GT Challenge and the Intermarque Championship, which allows Aston Martin owners to compete against each other in a friendly but competitive environment.
The club has a strong community spirit and encourages its members to engage with each other, sharing their experiences and knowledge of Aston Martin cars. The AMOC also maintains a museum at the historic home of Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell, where members can visit and view a collection of Aston Martin cars and memorabilia.
The Aston Martin Owners Club is an iconic institution for Aston Martin enthusiasts, providing a wealth of services and experiences for its members, while also preserving and promoting the rich heritage and legacy of the Aston Martin brand.
In 1985 the A.M.O.C. issued a small (8 1/4″ x 6″) simple pamphlet of 64 pages of reproductions of media of the period concerning Aston Martin events etc., beginning with the clubs launch in 1935.
Not sure how many of these were printed, this one is in very nice, clean condition, with little wear. A blue smudge on the front cover is shown in the photographs.
