Reading Time: ( Word Count: )

Did you know the difference between PEE, PEP, and PPE?

PEE stands for Port Edgar East, an organic rich shale in the Midland Valley of Scotland (samples of it have been used to test a method for assessing gas and oil in shale).

PEP stands for Process Economics Program, a piece of software brought to you by IHS the same people that bring you Accumap.

PPE?

But for now, the rig count:

[table id=18 /]

That stands for Personal Protective Equipment, the last and least effective bit of the safety hierarchy of controls. The others going from most to least effective are

  • Elimination
  • Substitution
  • Engineering Controls and
  • Administrative Controls

Barlon’s own PPP: Prepared, Professional and Proactive.
